The Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, attended this morning the act 'Encuentro en femenino' of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano.
This initiative is part of the Cali Program, for the equality of Roma women, whose aim is the promotion of equal treatment and opportunities and socio-labor inclusion of Roma women, taking into account the discrimination they suffer.
This is a key program of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano since it incorporates a dual intervention strategy: it raises the gender perspective transversally and also specifically, prioritizing an intersectional approach by identifying the various variables that maintain gender gaps and exclusion suffered by Roma women, especially the most vulnerable.
Through the Calí Program, the promotion of gender equality spaces is promoted, such as the act celebrated today on the occasion of International Women's Day.
