Esteban de la Peña, Carlos Alonso, José del Águila and Daniel Cañete are the Communication students of the Catholic University of Murcia who together with their peers Pedro Carrillo, Andrea Armada and Laura Almagro have won the third edition of 'EDUCLIPS'.
This interuniversity contest seeks for students to make videos about some media competition.
In this edition the pieces had to deal with a reality very common in our current society, the hyperconnection to the network.
SIRI-0% is the name of the short that has earned them the first place in this national contest.
Esteban de la Peña says that the making of the short film was possible because they formed a multidisciplinary group.
"After a 'brainstorming' came the idea that is to be 24 hours connected to the network, but doing it in a striking way, we also wanted the final turn call for self-criticism," clarifies the student.
The prize chosen by the winners is the right to have the short film broadcast on 2 Spanish Television (TVE) in the program 'The Adventure of Knowledge', an informative space that has been broadcast since 1989 and which is made public through of reports and interviews different topics among which stand out culture, science, technology or the environment.
The recording of this program was on March 6 at the studios of Televisión Española and will be broadcast next Monday, March 11 on TVE2 in the morning.
María del Mar Rodríguez, secretary of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication states that teachers encourage students to participate in external projects, "we want them to go beyond the limits of our university campus and the surroundings of Murcia, always we have the opportunity to provide them with the information to participate in competitions.
