The Alfonso X promenade will be closed to traffic from tomorrow at 9:30 am, and for a few months, on the occasion of the works that will be carried out from Jaime I El Conquistador street to the confluence with the Circular Plaza .
The work will be carried out in two phases.
In the first phase, half of the action will be executed from the current axis of the avenue to the façade of the Archaeological Museum - Treasury Building, along the entire length of the street.
Once finished and open to traffic and pedestrians, this phase will begin with the second phase that will be developed from the axis of the road to the facade of the Multiple Use Building along the entire length of the street.
The traffic will be affected tomorrow during the execution of the works of the first phase, canceling the circulation from Plaza Circular to Jaime I, enabling special alternative deviations to Plaza Preciosa and Calle Lepanto and the general detour through Puerta Nueva Street to the rest of users.
During the development of the works and in each of the phases a pedestrian corridor of approximately 2 meters wide will be left for access to shops and portals, it is important that the users exercise caution in the execution phase, as in the different phases of demolition, concreting and screed the access corridor may have a temporary pavement.
When the second phase begins, the current direction of circulation will be restored from Plaza Circular to Jaime I, for residents and vehicles or other authorized access points, and the direction of circulation from Gutiérrez Mellado to Plaza Circular will be eliminated.
In this way, parking will be prohibited in the entire vicinity of the work, except in the temporary areas of loading and unloading or other provisional enabled for authorized vehicles and places for the disabled
The taxi stop will move to the parking cord located next to the entrance of the Alfonso X car park.
