On the occasion of the V Show of Greco-Roman Theater of Murcia organized by the IES Saavedra Fajardo in collaboration with the City of Murcia, the Romea and Circus theaters hosted this morning, simultaneously, the representation of two classic comedies: the 'Host' of Plautus and 'Lysistrata' by Aristophanes.
José Ballesta praised this initiative led by the director of Saavedra Fajardo, Francisco Alemán, and noted that "revisit the classics allows us to deepen the values ​​and principles that make up our European identity, since we are children of Greek philosophy, Roman law and the Christian tradition. "
More than 2,000 students from 22 educational centers attended the representation of these works, whose staging was given to the group CALIGAE TEATRO of the IES JL Castillo Puche of Yecla with 'Host', and the KOMOS TEATRO of the IES Districte Marítim de Valencia, which represented 'Lysistrata'.
