The councilman of Cambiemos Murcia Sergio Ramos has denounced today that the mayor, José Ballesta, is blocking neighbors in his account of the social network Twitter, an "official communication channel" that "all people should be able to consult", without any type of restriction.
Ramos, who has directed an internal communication to Ballesta to find out who manages his account on Twitter and if this supposes an expense for the municipal coffers or is in charge of the municipal group of the PP, he reminded that this is not the first time that the alderman it blocks citizens because it already did it during the mobilizations in favor of the burying of the train tracks as it passes through the municipality.
The "indignation" of neighbors has resulted in a collection of signatures, through change.org, for "the cessation of blockades to citizens on Twitter" by the mayor's account.
For the mayor, the councilman is making a "partisan use" of their social networks by not differentiating between his position as the highest institutional representative of Murcia and as a candidate of the Popular Party.
An example of this is the dissemination made last July of an act organized by the regional government in defense of the AVE, whose cost amounted to almost 5,000 euros, and that occurred just in the season in which several citizen demonstrations were called to favor of the burial of the roads.
