The Governing Board has given its approval to the project 'Professional Routes for the Improvement of the Environment' that the City of Murcia is developing with European FEDER funds.

The main objective of this initiative is to improve the employability of the residents of Barrio de El Carmen, La Paz and La Fama, within the ADN Urbano project, combining actions of orientation, training and labor intermediation.

This project will benefit 300 unemployed neighbors who will receive personalized guidance for the development of their professional itinerary.

The team of counselors will be responsible for carrying out the professional itineraries to people in these neighborhoods through various activities, such as workshops on self-knowledge and emotional intelligence, communication dynamics, personal branding and job search, training in job interviews, Preparation of employability maps and visits to companies.

Of these 300 neighbors, 75 will be selected for training in 5 professional profiles related to the maintenance of gardens, carpentry, painting, cleaning exterior spaces and locksmithing, whose professional practices will later impact on each neighborhood, improving and embellishing the urban environment.

This project seeks three specific purposes:

1- Increase in the improvement of the employability of its neighbors, especially those most vulnerable, which prevents situations of exclusion.

2- Improvement of the urban environment, through integrated actions that allow the regeneration of the neighborhood.

3- The possibility of counting on the collaboration of the associations and groups with implantation in the neighborhoods, in the diffusion, derivation of participants and development of the project, in order to promote the implication of the socioeconomic agents of the neighborhoods.

The project Professional Routes for the Improvement of the Environment, endowed with a budget of 449,000 euros, of which 80% are FEDER contribution (€ 359,200) and the remaining 20% ​​are provided by the City of Murcia (€ 89,800), it is an option more than interesting for the revitalization of El Barrio de El Carmen, La Paz and La Fama and the employability of its neighbors.
