José Ballesta visits this afternoon the works that, with an investment of more than 320,000 euros, involve the installation of more than 700 meters of pipes, giving service to new homes and solving the specific problems of water cuts.
The Action Plan 2018-2020 has a total investment of 17 million euros and involves the creation of 800 direct jobs.
81.3% of the total amount goes to works in districts.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, accompanied by the councilor of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, visits this afternoon Zarandona, where they are carrying out a battery of actions aimed at renewing the network of sanitation and supply in the environment Cervantes, Francisco Guillén, Gregorio Conesa and Zarandona Avenue, which will provide service to new homes and solve the specific problems of water cuts.
The investment of these works, which are part of the Action Plan 2018-2020 Aguas de Murcia, involves a total investment of 326,000 euros and involve the installation of 715 meters of pipes of different diameters and a surface to asphalt about 5,700 m2 .
Cervantes Street works are currently under construction, with an investment of 63,000 euros, which involves the renovation of four connections, with nearly 1,000m2 of asphalt.
Work on Francisco Guillén Street is also underway, with a budget of 57,000 euros, which aims to provide sewerage service for the surrounding homes and improve efficiency in the supply of drinking water.
They include the asphalting of 540m2.
In addition, Aguas de Murcia plans to start renovating the sanitation network on Gregorio Conesa Galindo Street in the coming weeks, providing residents with a sewerage collector, with an investment of € 74,000 and the asphalting of 1,350 m2.
Finally, the project for the renovation of the Zarandona Avenue supply network is in the tender stage, which will make it possible to avoid the problems that, occasionally, the supply is registered with possible breaks and cuts, through an investment of 130,000 euros and the asphalting of almost 3.000m2 of vials.
An injection of 17 million and the creation of 800 jobs
These works are part of the Action Plan 2018-2020, for a total amount of 17.3 million euros, an investment that involves the creation of about 800 direct jobs.
81.3% of the total amount of the Action Plan is being allocated to works in districts, leaving the remaining 18.7% to undertake the necessary interventions in the urban area.
The improvements and extensions of the sanitation and rainwater network suppose 53 works.
There will also be 29 actions on the supply network.
For its part, 4.8 million euros will be allocated to the improvement of facilities (pumping, deposits, etc.).
The work will be carried out in 34 districts and 69 streets in the neighborhoods of Murcia, with the programming foreseeing that the neighborhood will not suffer discomfort or interruptions of service.
Likewise, and as a consequence of the interventions in the streets, a complete renovation of the asphalting will be carried out, which will affect 86,150 square meters.
