The Councilor for Trade and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrin, and the Councilor for Education and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, visited this morning the square of supplies of Vistabella with 50 schoolchildren of 4th Primary CEIP Juan de la Cierva de Casillas and CEIP The fleet.
In this activity, which is part of the program 'My city teaches' aims to know a food market and the people who work in it, as well as to facilitate the identification of different groups of food and its importance in the diet daily
This allows to sensitize schoolchildren about the relationship that exists between food consumption and health.
With this activity, in addition to revaluing the traditional market, the quality and freshness of the product sold in the market is disclosed.
It is therefore very effective since it benefits good eating habits among the youngest.
The activity consists of the following parts.
First they make a tour of the different market stalls with the intention of promoting healthy eating habits, knowing what types of products can be bought in it, their origin and enjoying their great variety and freshness.
Later, they carry out a workshop where they reinforce what they have learned during the visit and they are given a healthy lunch, made up of different fruits from the same market.
