The spokesman of the municipal group of Murcia Change, Nacho Tornel, will raise a motion to the next plenary session of the City Council, to be held next Thursday, for the creation of a specific regulation that defines the figures of the official chronicler of the city and the corresponding district , both currently included in the Regulation of Honors and Distinctions, dating from 1967.
For Tornel, the figure of the corresponding village reporter "deserves a particular and detailed development" that recognizes what these territories of the municipality, where 60 percent of the population resides, contribute to the history of Murcia through its traditions, events singular and other elements that are part of the chronicle of each locality.
To achieve this goal, the council has considered necessary that this figure and the official chronicler of the city are included in a specific regulation that includes the criterion of gender, and that they are the members of the municipal Corporation, without prejudice to the participation of Other authorized personalities in this field, who make the decision to define both in this exclusive document.
