On Sunday, March 3, Murcia will run for the World Day of people with Down syndrome.

The VII Race 'Running with you', organized by the Association for People with Down Syndrome (Assido), Murcia Athletics Federation and the Department of Sports and Health, will take place from 10 am on the Paseo del Malecón and in she will be able to participate up to 1,300 people.

Registration can be made until February 28 for card payments and until February 21 at 23: 30h for payments by bank transfer or deposit, through the website of the Murcia Athletics Federation www.famu.es , and in Assido, in the Center located in Plaza Bohemia, nº 4, where payment can be made in cash.

The different tests are encompassed as follows:

a) Absolute Popular Race for the different categories specified in article 6 of this regulation starting from Sub Category 20/23, covering a distance of 8,300m.

b) Races stop for the Sub 8 categories with a distance of 75m.

c) Solidarity March for Families for those people who want to show solidarity by participating without timed, walking and enjoying the route, with a distance of 1,100m.

The commemorative trophies are made in ceramics by people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities belonging to the Occupational Day Center of Assido.

In the absolute race trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers of each category from the Sub 20/23 category, both male and female.

In addition, both the winner and the winner of the absolute race will be given a special prize.

In addition, a trophy will be given to the most veteran runner and another to the most veteran runner.

In the children's race, trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers, both male and female, in the categories Sub 12, Sub 14 and Sub 16/18, giving medals to the rest of the classifieds.

In the Sub 10 and Sub 8 categories, only commemorative medals will be awarded for being non-competitive events, thus promoting the base sport in the youngest ones.

A trophy will be awarded to the club that has registered the most participants in the aforementioned races.
