The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, inaugurated this morning the new 'open museum' exhibition of the Santa Quiteria Palace, in the Santa Eulalia neighborhood, a performance that was born thanks to the Urban Urbano neighborhood participation project.
On this occasion, for the first time, the windows of this building decorate photographs instead of paintings, as was the case until now.
There are seven artists who offer their vision of the Murcian winter in the 14 windows of the historic building: Luis Javier García García, Pilar Morales, José Luis Ros Caval, Kiko Asunción López, Anatoliy Hlodan, Mariano Egea and Joaquín Zamora.
The domes of the modernist buildings Casa Cerdá and Guillamón building, the Segura river, the Cathedral or the Corvera promenade are some of the places that the viewer will recognize in the images, which also reflect the sea and cultural snapshots of music or dance, such as the recent representation of the ballet 'The Nutcracker'.
"With the change of season, the artistic 'move' of Santa Eulalia also reaches this open-air museum that is the Santa Quiteria Palace.
For the first time, the art of photography is the protagonist of this exhibition in this corner of the city that has become a focus of Murcian artistic talent, "said José Ballesta.
