The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, has presented the report-memory of the Municipal Employment Service of 2018.
Pacheco explained that "one of the most important commitments of the Government Team is to promote and develop policies aimed at facilitating the creation of employment in the municipality, especially related to training and orientation actions for the labor insertion of Murcia, by providing a special attention to the groups that find more obstacles to access a job ".
The data collected in this report, which can be viewed at www.murciaemplea.es, include the orientation of 2,477 people, the management of 396 contracts and the collaboration in the creation of 789 jobs.
New Virtual Training Center
Last November, the new Virtual Training Center came into operation, offering 6 courses with a total of 320 hours of online training.
In total 63 students participated, of which 17 are men and 46 women.
Of the total student body, 38 are unemployed (28 women and 10 men) and 25 active workers (18 women and 7 men).
The courses that have been taught have been the following: Food Handler, Small business and marketing, Financing and basic management for a small business.
The electronic invoice, Management of the RRLL from a gender perspective, Key competences: Communication in Language (level 2) and Key competences: Mathematics (level 2)
Councilman Jesus Pacheco explained that "the Virtual Center has proven to be a very valid element for citizenship when training, so we understand that it is a safe offer for Murcia to access equal opportunities to better qualification On the one hand, on the other, it gives them the opportunity to design a training itinerary totally adapted to their professional needs and their personal possibilities ".
Employment guidance and employment exchange
The Guidance Department aims to improve employability, assisting people enrolled in the definition of their professional objective, designing their itinerary individually and mentoring the process of continuous improvement of their skills for employment.
Thus, during 2018 guidance and counseling has been provided to 2,477 people, of whom 1,351 are women and 1,126 men.
In turn, 1,171 are under 30 years old and 1,306 are over 30 years old.
In addition, 108 people have been registered in the Youth Guarantee File.
Likewise, the City Council provides a free and comprehensive service to companies and users, in any of the stages of incorporation of workers to companies;
adapting the requested profile and the interests of both parties, supporting the preselection of candidates and finally carrying out insertion monitoring.
A total of 153 job offers have been managed for 66 different professional profiles, with a total of 396 confirmed contracts, and 506 people have been contacted and sent to job offers (248 men and 258 women, of whom 248 are minors). 30 years and 258 over 30).
The response time between receiving the offer and sending the first quota is a maximum of 48 hours, sending an average of 3 candidates for each position offered.
Collaboration agreements and aid for the promotion of employment
In order to improve training and professional qualification, promote economic development and promote employment and entrepreneurship, the council signs agreements with social and economic agents of the municipality.
During the past year, 23 collaboration agreements have been signed with third sector entities and business organizations, with a total economic contribution of 294,352 euros.
In addition, 304,929 euros have been earmarked to encourage the temporary and fixed hiring of workers, through grants aimed at SMEs, micro-enterprises, cooperatives, non-profit organizations and social insertion and social economy companies.
Thus, subsidies have been granted for the creation of a total of 62 jobs with 33 companies, 18 self-employed workers and 1 cooperative.
Training projects
During 2018, 46 vocational training courses were given for employment with a total of 40,147 teaching hours of 29 different specialties, belonging to 14 professional families.
Training for employment has been provided to 617 people, 340 men and 277 women, of whom 342 were under 30 and 275 over 30. Of these, 351 have obtained certificates of professionalism and 89 have obtained partial accreditations.
Thanks to these courses, 126 contracts have been made for the training of which 43 have been to women and 83 to men, among them, 88 under 30 and 38 over 30.
In addition, 163 labor insertions of unemployed people trained in our programs have been achieved, 105 men and 58 women, of which 92 are under 30 and 71 over 30, which implies a labor insertion rate of 26.42% , oscillating between 12% of Professional Qualification of Young people and 75% of the Mixed Program of Employment and Training for Young people.
The Employment Service has different objectives:
- Improve the qualification of unemployed people in the municipality, through their participation in different training activities.
- Offer a wide and structured training offer, by levels and in different professional areas.
- Promote a comprehensive and quality education, with special emphasis on the personal and professional development of the participants.
- Report on various opportunities for access to employment.
- Advise on various offers of professional training and employment, developing individual insertion and reintegration itineraries.
- Offer training, advice and support for the search of work for their own and for others.
- Offer qualified workers companies
- Encourage the creation of new companies in emerging sectors.
- Facilitate a first non-work experience through the signing of a non-work professional internship agreement.
- Participate with associations, entities and companies of Murcia in all those actions that are aimed at promoting employment.
