Hack For Good is an interuniversity meeting in which, for 48 hours, participants will work to offer technological solutions to social challenges.
It is celebrated simultaneously in 25 Spanish universities and the UCAM is the only headquarters in the Region.
One more year, the Technological Institute of Murcia (ITM) of the UCAM organizes this hackathon, together with the network of Telefónica Chairs, which is developed throughout Spain to provide innovative answers to more than a hundred social challenges raised by NGOs. s, foundations or institutions.
A "for good" hacker is a young person with a university profile, enthusiastic, positive and with initiative.
The objective is that working in multidisciplinary teams and with the help of mentors and volunteers develop technological solutions, in order to build a better world.
The meeting is divided into three stages, a local, which is held at the Monastery of Los Jerónimos of the UCAM, on March 21, 22 and 23, where three prizes may be awarded, one thousand, six hundred and four hundred euros.
The winners of the HackForGood Murcia will participate at the national level, where they will compete with the winners of the other 25 venues.
In this edition the prizes amount to four thousand, three thousand and two thousand euros.
And finally the three best projects that are signified by the continuity and results obtained will participate in the Big Day, with prizes of up to six thousand euros.
