Socialist councilor Enrique Ayuso visits the area and reveals "the abandonment" of the Torres del Canal lane and warns of "accident risk for pedestrians and vehicles" and even for neighbors in their own homes in Aljucer, San Ginés and Era Alta
The Socialist Group in the City of Murcia insists on the need to condition the Barreras irrigation channel, one of the main ones of the municipality, as an essential part of the Territorial Action Plan for the Garden and in the Plenary this February it will demand the mayor, José Ballesta, stop "face" a matter of great importance and must undertake ordering the conditioning of this channel and the arrangement of the road that runs parallel to it.
"This new episode of abandonment by the government team of the PP in La Glorieta gives rise to a situation of danger for pedestrians, vehicles and even for neighbors in their own homes, because there have been landslides of part of the road and soil of the houses that are next to the channel ", explains the councilor Enrique Ayuso after stepping on the ground.
It is a latent problem for two years, which is the time that the PP has absolutely abandoned this place.
The garbage and debris accumulate in the canal around its channel, the wall is demolished in some sections and the road has cracks and part of it has been destroyed, which endangers those who circulate through it.
This road, being municipal, must be arranged by the City Council and is what the PSOE will demand in the plenary session of this month of February through a motion to rehabilitate the ditch throughout its layout in collaboration with the Board of Landowners and the Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura (CHS).
For this reason, Ayuso will defend a motion in the Plenary on the 28th that aims to protect the heritage that is the traditional irrigation network of the Huerta de Murcia.
