The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the president of the Foundation Solidarity and Reintegration Trust, Tomás Zamora Ros, and the director of Proyecto Hombre Murcia, Asunción Santos de Pascual, today presented the Solidarity Gala for the benefit of Proyecto Hombre that will take place on Tuesday, February 26, at the Romea Theater;
an event aimed at raising funds for this entity that focuses its social work on the prevention and treatment of addictions.
Under the title of 'Joyful!', The gala, which will begin at 8:00 pm, will feature the performance of Belter Soul, the Murcian group specialized in gospel and black music, which will offer an explosion of energy in which the public can participate in an active way, through such recognized themes as the hits 'Rehab' by Amy Winehouse, 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley, songs from the musical 'Sister Act' or the gospel hymns 'Happy Day' and 'Let the River Run'.

Under the title 'Project Man, Solidarity Impulse', the video staged the importance of helping others in the low moments, when there is a stumbling block in life.
"Murcia are generous and supportive.
It's in our DNA.
And this 'social experiment' that recreates the video that has been filmed in La Glorieta, in the heart of Murcia, shows that we all have a solidarity impulse that leads us to help the other without expecting anything in return, "explained José Ballesta, who added that "just like when we see someone falling on the street, we are going to help them immediately, we must also extend that helping hand at times that may not be so visible.
Not only the people who love us and surround us, but society as a whole must reach out to that hand. "
In this sense, the mayor highlighted "the 23 years of service to the community of Murcia, solidarity and generosity Project Man, more than two decades of work specialized in the prevention and treatment of addictions, always striving to preserve human dignity
Proyecto Hombre is one of those essential institutions, made up of a group of people who give themselves to others by giving the best of themselves, through their work and experience, and that would not be possible without the hundreds of volunteers who, together with the professionals, make this miracle possible that is called Proyecto Hombre ".
