The University of Murcia opens this Thursday, February 14, the VI Congress of Music and Audiovisual Culture (MUCA) in the Antonio Soler classroom of the Campus de la Merced, at 9 o'clock.
The event will be attended, among others, by Francisco Javier Martínez, Vice Chancellor of Quality, Culture and Communication;
and Enrique Encabo, director of the congress.
The conference, which will be held on February 14, 15 and 16, aims to encourage the exchange and dissemination of knowledge among professionals and researchers of the audiovisual and sound universe through analysis, reflection and criticism of music as a culture in The last decades.
Music and its role and influence in film, television, advertising, videogames and internet will center a good part of the program.

The teaching and didactics of music in audiovisual culture will also be another axis around which this conference will revolve.
A prominent speaker in this edition will be Franco Fabbri, professor of History, Analysis and Economics of Popular Music at the Parma Conservatory and at the University of Milan;
He is also a visiting professor at the University of Huddersfield.
Fabbri specializes in theories of gender and musical typologies, the impact of media and technology on genres and musical cultures, and the history of popular music.
People who attend the congress will also have the opportunity to attend a meeting with industry professionals who will share their experiences.
On February 14 the guest will be Pau Damià Riera, who will talk about 'Opera, film and video games'.
Damià is a video game composer and sound designer.
He is a professor at SAE Institute Barcelona of the subject of Game Sound in the itinerary of Audio Production and he teaches the subject Music and Sound Design for Animation within the Degree of Animation and VFX of the La Salle University Ramón Llull.

Victoria Fenoll has worked in the Spanish music industry for more than 12 years and has been recently named as one of the 500 most influential Spanish women, standing out in the culture sector, for the magazine Yo Dona.
Fenoll has experienced the transformation of Spanish record companies through his experience working for EMI Music, Warner Music Group and Universal Music.
During these years, she has released albums for well-known names such as Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Avicii and Pablo Alborán, and has also been responsible for marketing campaigns for international tours, including Coldplay, U2, Fifth Harmony and Metallica, among other international groups.
Rosa Martínez has more than 16 years of experience in the British music industry.
