The University of Murcia organizes this Wednesday, February 13, a joint gymkhana together with the NGO Oikía as part of the program of the 17 ODSesiones project.
The gymkhana will go through the streets of the center of Murcia and those who participate will make a tour of some of the main charities in the city.
A map and clues, which will be received as they advance, will be the tools for this test with which food and personal hygiene products will be collected that will go to people in need.
The objective of this recreational activity is not only to spend an entertaining afternoon, but also to become aware of the situation of poverty in which many people live.
At the end of the gymkhana, all the participants, together with the members of the participating NGOs, will take a fair trade snack.
The activity will take place between 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and the starting point will be the exhibitor of the ODSesiones that is installed on the La Merced campus.

Visit to Jesus Abandoned
Another of the activities that will take place this Wednesday will be a visit to the reception center of Jesus Abandoned, where volunteers will explain to the students that they participate in the work they do and the different resources they have.
Afterwards, visitors will share a coffee with the users of the center, during which they will be able to talk with them and get to know their stories.
A series of social awareness videos will also be screened.
The activity will take place from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The transfer from the Social Center to the Welcome Center, as well as the return, will be done by bus from the University.
The meeting point will be the information tent 17 ODSesiones of the University Social Center.
Those who register previously will have preference of participation.

17 ODSesiones is the project of the University of Murcia aimed at disseminating and raising awareness about the 17 sustainable development goals that the United Nations set with the year 2030 as a horizon.
Until April 2021, the University will dedicate one month to each of these objectives with activities of all kinds designed to sensitize the university community and the entire society on these purposes.
The project has started this February with the objective 1: 'End of poverty'.
