The City of Murcia, through the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services directed by Rebeca Pérez, has carried out the installation of 21 luminaires in Calle Mayor and Calle Carmen, as well as in the Plaza de la Iglesia de la She was tall.
The installation consisted in installing 10 LED luminaires of 75 W, in the main street, renewing the arm in which they are fastened to the facades of the houses.
7 LED lights of 75 W have also been installed without replacing the existing staffs, which are in good condition.
In the Plaza de la Iglesia, 4 40 W Led lights, type Villa lamp, have been installed.
The power of the installation, after the renovation, is 1,435 W, which will generate an annual energy consumption of 6,100 kwh and an expense of 850 euros, which represents a saving of 1,050 euros.
"In this way we reduce energy consumption and take care of the environment, in addition, we facilitate the day to day of our neighbors and make them feel more secure and can walk through all the streets at any time of the day" said Rebeca Pérez.
In total, 55% will be saved, reducing the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere by 3.6 tons per year.
In addition, the installation has been renewed, which was more than 40 years old, and generated a high level of light pollution.
