The event coincides with the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and with the commemoration of the International Year of the Periodic Table
The University of Murcia opens on Monday, February 11, the 'International Symposium on women and the periodic table of the elements', which will take place in the auditorium of the University Social Center, at 9:30 am.
The act will have the presence, among others, of José Luján, rector of the UMU;
Javier Celdrán, Employment, Universities, Business and Environment Advisor of the CARM;
and Pedro Lozano, dean of the Faculty of Chemistry of the UMU.
The symposium, which will take place on 11 and 12 February, is part of the official activities of the International Year of the Periodic Table, decreed by the UN, and coincides with the commemoration of the International Day of Women and Girls in the Science.
Among the scheduled activities highlights a global breakfast of women scientists that will take place on Tuesday, February 12 in the cafeteria of the Faculty of Chemistry at 8.30.
The breakfast will be attended by important personalities from the world of chemistry and will be invited all chemical women of the faculty, both teachers and students.
