The Councilor for Education and Heritage, Rafael Gomez, has responded to Ecologists in Action that "the City is conducting a study of those municipal buildings in which there is still asbestos to proceed according to current regulations."
Gomez has indicated that "there are very few facilities that still have this material but this study will determine exactly."
The councilor recalled that "asbestos, as inert material, does not cause damage to health, is only dangerous when handled."
