The international street market Mixtura, which was held this weekend in the neighborhood of El Carmen, has received more than 7,000 visitors, a resounding success in this second edition that has become one of the main multicultural events in Murcia thanks to the project Urban DNA that is taking place there.
Visitors have been able to taste more than 10,000 tapas offered by the participating restaurants, which on this occasion have been 12. The venues that have been present from different nationalities have been 'El Churra' representing Murcian cuisine, the Ethiopian restaurant Gónder ', the Argentinean' Que bueno que viniste ', the Colombian' El paladar ', the Bolivian' La Taquiña ', the Ecuadorian' La Parrilla del Guayaco ', the Ukrainian' Restaurante Monteagudo ', the Mexican' Katrina ', and two Moroccans: the restaurant 'Argana' and 'Al Baraka'.
The offer also included the two candy stands 'Wafers Kate' and 'Buena Amistad'.
In addition, in the craft area about 50 stalls have shown their products, services, offering demonstrations and explaining the origin of their crafts.
There have been henna tattoos, African braids, children's workshops where children of different nationalities have participated doing handicrafts, and many more actions that have invigorated the whole commercial area of ​​Mixtura.
Also, different folk groups performed to show their different cultures, traditional costumes, music and dances, such as Bollywood, African dances, tango demonstrations ...
On the other hand, the youth center La Nave, has participated taking their radio 'Onda Nave' in which students have shown their knowledge, workshops and master class of different international dances.
