66 monitors will be installed that will allow unifying the control of services.
One of the objectives of this project is to merge all the control and surveillance systems into a new single monitoring center in the city.
"All these advances that we have carried out and are executing are part of our effort to modernize the administration, improve the quality of life of Murcia and make the smart city project a reality to provide more and better services", José Guillén remarked
The Governing Board today approved the specifications for contracting the supply of a visualization, recording, management and video analytics system in municipal facilities within the framework of the Smart City Mi Murcia project carried out by the Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development directed by José Guillén.
The Single Monitoring Center (CEUS), located on the ground floor of the Abenarabi building, will be the center of operations and integrated control of the Smart City platform of the city, which will be equipped with a system of 66 monitors that will allow to unify the control of services.
The objective of this project is to unify all the current control and surveillance systems in the new single monitoring center of the city.
"All these advances that we have carried out and are executing are part of our effort to modernize the administration and make the smart city project a reality" remarked José Guillén.
66 monitors will be installed with electronics associated with three multi-monitor systems, 42 on Avenida Abenarabi, 9 in the Local Police Barracks of Infante and 15 in the municipal building in Glorieta de España.
In addition, there will be 30 new cameras of last generation, of different models and specific characteristics, with the aim of expanding the sensorized area of the city.
This project also aims to change the concept of surveillance cameras, such as equipment that merely captures images, to a concept of video sensors, which through a system of video analytics are able to inform in real time of the state of the city, and of This way improve the efficiency in the management of it.
The treatment of video surveillance events will be done intelligently, while it will be integrated into the City Council's new Smart City platform, within the new CEUS that is located in Abenarabi.
The specifications and supporting reports have been drafted by the Industrial Engineering Department and the Computing Service.
The term for the supply and installation is 4 months.
The tender budget is set at 1,078,523.03 euros.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union, within the framework of the Operational Program for sustainable growth 2014-2020, with the DUSI Murcia IT Strategy: Innovation + Tradition, Thematic objective 2, action line 1: e-Administration and Smart Murcia, priority of innovation 2.c., and said extremes have been included in the Specific Administrative Clauses.
The amount financed with ERDF funds is 862,818.43 euros, 80% of the project.
Smart brain of the city, CEUS
The room for the CEUS will have an area of 84.5 m2 and will have a lobby-showcase area of more than 100 m2 so that citizens can see the operation of this technology and a crisis room of more than 50 m2 and a cold room necessary for the operation of the control center.
In total, the total useful area will be 319.89 m2.
CEUS will be the brain of the city, a control center where you can evaluate, decide and execute urgent measures in emergency situations with all the available information, while it will be a space for technological demonstration open to all citizens.
To this end, more than 300 intelligent systems and technological components of the 'MiMurcia' project will be implemented in the coming months, which will entail the extension of WiFi coverage in squares, parks and gardens, panels that report on free parking spaces, steps of smart pedestrians and environmental monitoring stations to measure air quality, among many other anticipated sensorisation actions.
This allows the intelligent management of cities, the 'Smart' model applied to the public sphere, to put those technological advances at the service of people to improve their quality of life and the benefits of public services they receive.
