The University of Murcia and the Attorney General of the State have signed an agreement that will allow students of the last courses of the degrees of the Faculty of Law to practice in the Office of the Prosecutor.
The rector, José Luján, and the Superior Prosecutor of the Region of Murcia, José Luis Díaz Manzanera, have signed this agreement, which will benefit 25 students each course.
Díaz Manzanera stressed that this agreement achieves such an important objective as "to train in the aspects of practice those who will act as prosecutors, judges or lawyers".
The Superior Prosecutor has explained that these students will accompany prosecutors to oral trials, guard services of the Public Prosecutor's Office and all the activities that are usually carried out by the personnel of the Prosecutor's Office.
Díaz Manzanera thanked the work of the professionals who tutor the students in this day to day.
"Real life is very different from career, in the University they learn theory, but it is here in these practices that they really begin to make sense of what they have learned," concluded the Senior Prosecutor.
The rector, for his part, thanked the Prosecutor's willingness to welcome students and give them the opportunity to train with professionals.
The dean of the Faculty of Law, David Morillas, has pointed out that these practices represent an important offer for those who are in the last courses and are framed "within the program of practices offered by the Faculty in notary offices, property registers or law firms. "
The fiscal lieutenant José Francisco Sánchez Lucerna, responsible for the practices in the Office of the Prosecutor, has assured that the satisfaction of those who complete this training is always very high.
