The Department of Finance has transferred to the Plenary a new model of internal control for the exercise of control and intervention in the economic-financial management of the City, in order to achieve greater efficiency of it.
After having held explanatory meetings between the councilor Eduardo Martínez-Oliva and the representatives of the different municipal groups and having obtained the unanimity of all of them in the informative commission, the Plenary has approved with the votes in favor of the political groups this proposal.
"Since the approval of Royal Decree 424/2017 of April 28, which regulates the legal regime of internal control of local public sector entities, which introduces important new features and designs a model that respects the principle of local autonomy, This City Council has been working on the development of its own control model ", pointed Martínez-Oliva.
This model has been prepared by the Intervention Service and will be the one that regulates from this moment the different acts with economic content of the City Council and its dependent entities through a broad articulated and a large number of files the different processes in which municipal control is necessary.
