The University of Murcia and the association Auxilia, focused on the integration of people with physical disabilities, have signed an agreement on Wednesday that will allow UMU students to volunteer at the association's delegation in Murcia.
During the act of signing, María Almudena Martínez, delegate of Auxilia in Murcia, has expressed that this agreement adds forces in achieving the objectives of the association, which are based on providing support to people with physical disabilities to achieve a full incorporation into society.
All this through teaching, sports activities, leisure and free time.
Ana Millán, coordinator of Attention to Diversity and Volunteering of the UMU, stressed "the importance we give from the University of Murcia to the signing of agreements such as this so that our students are formed in a comprehensive manner, as full and adult , committed to social reality. "
The ceremony was closed by the rector, José Luján, who congratulated the organization for his work and emphasized that the University of Murcia has a strong commitment to institutions working in this direction, especially through the Vice-Rector's Office for Students and the of Employment, Entrepreneurship and Society.
