Ten creative ideas will develop their business model in Factoría Cultural with the support of the City Council (28/01/2019)

The young people granted a scholarship by the Consistory will have a working space in the Párraga Center, to develop their initiatives and launch them to the market as profitable business models.

Product design, jewelry, publishing market, fashion, journalism, sound creation, graphic design, cultural heritage and architecture are the disciplines in which these projects are specialized.

From the incubation of the idea to its launch to the market and the consolidation of a profitable business model.

This is the process that will live ten young people who have been granted by the City of Murcia to develop their proposals in a six-month stay in Factoria Cultural, the nursery of creative industries located in the Center Párraga.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with councilmen Jesus Pacheco and Rebeca Perez, today delivered ten scholarships to young entrepreneurs whose business projects have been selected by a specialized jury, in an initiative that has the support of the Institute of the Cultural Industries and the Arts Autonomous Community and Murcia Region.

"Product design, jewelry design, publishing market, fashion, journalism, sound creation, graphic design, cultural heritage and architecture are the disciplines in which these ten projects are specialized," said Mayor José Ballesta, who explained that "the selected young people will participate in a tutoring and specialized accompaniment program by the professionals of Factoría Cultural and will have a workspace at the Párraga Center that will provide them with a creative ecosystem suitable for the launch and consolidation of their business ideas ".

Among the participants in this second call for municipal aid, to which 40 projects have been submitted for its development in Factoría Cultural, there are several that have previously participated in the CreaMurcia contest and in the Business Projects Competition of the CIM-M.

In this sense, José Ballesta reported that "from the City Council we are working to provide these young people and those who come behind a Network of Cultural and Creative Spaces to serve as a showcase for their ideas and where they can present their projects, relying on resources and existing as the Cultural Centers of the municipality or Murcia theaters.

The young scholars will start their stay at the Cultural Factory on February 5 and will finish it on July 31.

The City of Murcia pays the scholarships with a total amount of 25,400 euros.

Entrepreneurs will have at their disposal a business network in the field of cultural entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation favorable for networking and visibility of their business projects.

The scholarship holders will participate in the Innovation Plan, a training itinerary that aims to turn their projects into sustainable enterprises.

Likewise, active experts with teaching experience, through face-to-face and on-line sessions and tutorials, consultancies and workshops, will accompany residents in all phases of development and implementation of their projects, from conception and incubation to acceleration and launching. to the market.

The ten projects of the Culture and Creativity Scholarships:

ACHODOSO (Javier Gutiérrez Asensio).

Achodoso is a studio focused mainly on product design and specialized in furniture design.

His works reflect a style marked by the simplicity of the elements and the originality of the details.

ARKIMISTA (Helia de San Nicolás).

Design of contemporary jewels inspired by iconic buildings with a double purpose: their sale and their disposition as corporate gifts.

MURCIA MON AMOUR (María Eugenia Cánovas Romero).

Editorial work in the form of a focused paper magazine inspired by artistic and cultural content 'made in' Murcia, serving as a dissemination platform for artists and creative professionals in the region.

COMMON (Francisco Javier Jiménez Zamora).

A young company dedicated to the creation of men's and women's shirts.

Shirts totally different from the rest.

It treats of unique and exclusive garments that offer to his public to a very economic price.

THE FLYING DOG MAGAZINE (Halyna Petryk).

Journal that offers journalism and opinion with an animalistic approach, objective and from the common sense.

NORTH (Andrés Soto Galián).

A collaborative sound creation in a format open to the public at all times, which can be part of the process itself.

ISABEL HERNÁNDEZ ILLUSTRATION / GRAPHIC DESIGN / ANIMATION (Isabel Hernández Guillén).

A graphic designer focused on the publishing, audiovisual and textile sectors, who in mid-2017 started her entrepreneurial project to offer design solutions to small and medium-sized companies.

MAGNO (Alba María Albaladejo Sánchez).

An establishment that offers a typical experience of the cultural heritage of the area at all levels, capable of becoming the first multinational whose headquarters have in common that they do not look like anything.

EXPERIENCES AND NOLUGARS (Jimmy Alexander Viñan Romero).
