Murcia change has asked today the councilor for Planning, Environment, Water and Garden, Antonio Javier Navarro, to develop a plan for the identification and sealing of abandoned wells in the municipality, especially in the busiest areas, in collaboration with the Police Local, environmental and collective agents such as clubs senderistas.
The municipal training has indicated that in the surroundings of the Sierra de Carrascoy and El Valle can be found old soundings constructed to look for water that were abandoned years ago, and many of which are still open, like the one discovered a few days ago in the Majal Blanco , which supposes a "risk" for those who transit through those spaces.
Ginés Mirón, a member of the Huerta group and City Model of Cambiemos Murcia, has indicated that these wells should have been sealed "a long time ago", and has urged the City Council to implement this plan together with associations that know the area, like those of hikers, the Local Police and specialized agents in the forestry area.
