The mayor has said that "the Department of Finance is working tirelessly to dispose of the draft budgets of 2019 as soon as possible. It is complicated when a very important part of the income that we have to depend on the State contributions and this it is reflected in the General Budgets of the State that, as we all know, are still not approved. "

"There is no one else interested in approving the budgets of 2019 as soon as possible than the Government Team itself, but we must not forget that, when municipal taxes, fees and public prices have been falling for six years, it is necessary to maximize the income of those that are available to adjust the expenses ".

Martínez-Oliva concluded by saying that "we understand that the agreement reached with the Citizens group to approve the 2018 budgets was good for Murcia and the achievements we have achieved are undoubted, for example, in terms of public transport, education, services social ... We hope that the spirit of dialogue and commitment that we find in this opposition group will continue to achieve the approval of the 2019 budget. "
