The City of Murcia, through the Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gómez, has carried out the cleaning and fencing of 38 municipal plots, which add up to an area of ​​143,294 m2, equivalent to 15 fields of football.
These works, developed throughout 2018, have been executed in the districts of Santiago el Mayor, Puente Tocinos, Sangonera la Verde, Sangonera la Seca, Santiago and Zaraíche, El Esparragal, El Puntal, Churra, El Palmar, Los Dolores, Guadalupe, Aljucer, Barriomar, San José de la Vega, La Ñora, Cabezo de Torres, Sucina and Baños y Mendigo, among others.
The purpose of the contract for cleaning and fencing of municipal plots is to comply with the duties of conservation and maintenance of municipally owned plots, with the due security, sanitation, accessibility and legal requirements.
At present, the company awarded the service is Insetec Servicios Integrales, SL and the maximum amount of expenditure per year of € 150,000.
The contract establishes the obligation to keep the municipal plots that have been cleaned once during the entire duration of the agreement.
In this way, the plots cleaned since the entry into force of the contract must be kept clean, especially in times close to summer, where we proceed to make a general review of the sites closest to inhabited areas.
Likewise, the winning company is responsible for the removal of materials that may be found in the municipal plots of land and their custody until they are delivered to the owner, or destruction, if applicable, at no cost to the City Council (eg billboards).
