The students of 2nd cycle of FP of Higher Degree and those of 1 and 2 of Bachillerato of the Region of Murcia have open the inscriptions to the Scientific Olympics of the Catholic University until January 28 (for the students who request bus ) and February 4 (those that come in their own vehicle), in the traditional competition that the UCAM celebrates with the co-financing of the Seneca Foundation with the aim of rewarding scientific excellence among young people.
"We want our young people to understand that the effort has its reward, but also, we want to favor scientific vocations, also among technical careers," said Estrella Núñez, Vice Chancellor of Research at the UCAM.
As in the previous edition, the Catholic University of Murcia will hold an Olympiad on its campus in Cartagena and another in Murcia (Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 February, respectively).
The Los Dolores campus (Cartagena) will host the Sports, Nursing and Physiotherapy areas, while the Los Jerónimos (Murcia) campus will host the Sports, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Food, Pharmacy, Telecommunications, Informatics, Civil Engineering competitions and Architecture and Building Engineering.
Students who pass the court notes (1st prize 8 or higher, 2nd prize 7.5 or higher and 3rd prize 7 or higher), can earn a discount of the first year of enrollment of the selected Olympiad, being this one 100%, 50% or 25% in the first, second and third place, respectively.
In addition, each of these awards will be accompanied by sports and / or digital material such as tablets, SPORTCAM digital camera or sportswear.
