"We continue working to save water in the green areas and trees of Murcia. The water in Murcia is scarce and we have to take every drop to the maximum. We are carrying out actions of use and reuse to save our resources, but without forgetting that our green areas are synonymous with leisure, relaxation and meeting for our neighbors and have to be in perfect condition "José Guillén has highlighted

The City of Murcia, through the Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development directed by José Guillén, increases the gardens that are controlled remotely with a computer or mobile device.

Twenty new spaces are added to those already existing in the municipality, allowing to activate, deactivate or remotely control the water or humidity of the different green areas.

The mechanism controls irrigation with state-of-the-art systems such as Wi-Fi and GPRS, allowing the detection of any leakage or breakdown and the paralysis of the irrigation system if it rains.

"We continue working to save water in the green areas and trees of Murcia. The water in Murcia is scarce and we have to take every drop to the maximum. We are carrying out actions of use and reuse to save our resources, but without forgetting that our green areas are synonymous with leisure, relaxation and meeting for our neighbors and have to be in perfect condition "José Guillén highlighted.

The new system extends the existing one in many green areas of the municipality and is reviewed and controlled by specialists to verify its correct operation.

Among the new spaces where these new remote access points will be placed are Los Chorletes in El Palmar, Villa Carmen in El Ranero, Aljada in Bacons Bridge, Juan de Borbón Avenue in Santiago and Zaraiche, C / Journalist Antonio Herrero in Santiago and Zaraiche, El Secano in Torreagüera and Paseo Santa Ágüeda in Vistalegre.
