The City of Murcia, through the Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gomez, has begun the process to complete the transfer to the Ministry of Health of a plot of equipment for the construction of a center primary care.
The current health center, belonging to the health area 1, offers the services of family medicine, pediatrics, nursing, sample collection, midwife and social worker and, in addition to Corvera, meets the needs of primary care in the districts of La Murta, Carrascoy, Baños y Mendigo, Los Martínez del Puerto, Valladolises and Lo Jurado, Gea and Truyols, Jerónimo and Avileses, Sucina and Lobosillo.
It comprises, therefore, a population of over 10,000 people.
The construction of the new equipment arises from the need to provide a new space to serve patients in the area improving current care benefits.
In this way, from the Heritage Service has begun the dossier to segregate the municipal plot where the Corvera Cultural Center is currently located in order to cede a space of more than 1,400 square meters, which is located between the streets Libertad y Quinto Centenario, to the Ministry of Health to build the new health center.
It is, therefore, a decisive step for the provision of this sanitary infrastructure that will allow replacing the current facilities, which have been insufficient to offer adequate health care.
With the cession of the plot, whose location is very close to the dependencies in use, the City will put the land at the disposal of the Autonomous Community, so that it undertakes the drafting of the project, its construction and equipment.

On the other hand, the City Council has at the moment other investment projects in Corvera that are in the bidding process.
It is the paving of sidewalks in the street of the Church, included in the Plan of Investments of Pedanías, whose budget amounts to € 50,235.
In addition, the remodeling of the Plaza de la Fuente, worth € 65,000.00, which is part of the investment plan foreseen in the agreement with the Autonomous Community, is underway.
