The Aguamarina street of El Palmar will gain in security both for the pedestrians that pass through it and for the vehicles that circulate once the works that are being carried out by the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, directed by Rebeca Pérez .
This road, which has a unique sense, on the right bank has a sidewalk that adjoins homes and, on the left bank, has a parking lot in a row, with a sidewalk attached to the wall of the sports center where there is a wooded area (brachychiton) that is the cause of the bad state of the sidewalk and the deterioration of the road.
The remodeling work will be completed at the end of the month, provided that the scheduled deadlines are met.
The budget invested exceeds 45,000 euros.
In her visit to El Palmar, Rebeca Pérez emphasized the 'social profitability of actions like the one we have in progress on Aguamarina Street, where the size of the work and the high budget are not the most important.
What worries us the most is the welfare of the people and the quality of life of our districts, and to achieve that goal we must begin by guaranteeing the safety of all. '
The project in execution consists of agglomerating the street and paving the sidewalk, changing the trees and maintaining the car parks, thus achieving a more secure pedestrian and vehicle circulation.
The works include the demolition of the areas where the agglomerate is more deteriorated, cleaning it with artificial gravel and the remaining pavement will be milled in those areas where necessary.
The existing sidewalk on the left bank will also be demolished and the prefabricated concrete curb curb will be made to delimit the sidewalk of the car park.
Once paved, the cobblestone will be placed forming the tree basins and the drip irrigation for the new trees and finally the road will agglomerate.
