This second call for grants this year puts almost 300,000 euros contributions from the City Council to the associations of merchants in 2018. Among the projects developed with the collaboration of the City Council highlight the various Christmas campaigns, Flea Market, Fair Outlet , Tapas Route, Valentine's Day or Carnival.
The Governing Board today approved the granting of subsidies to various associations of merchants of neighborhoods and districts amounting to 130,000 euros.
This is the second call for these features that is being processed this year, so the municipal funds applied for this purpose by the Department of Commerce and Institutional Relations, directed by Maruja Pelegrín, amount to 300,000 euros.
The objective of this aid is to encourage the revitalization and improvement of local trade, the creation of employment, training of the commercial sector and the promotion of associationism.
In this sense, the beneficiary entities will be the associations of merchants of the Carmen district, Campo de Murcia, Carmelitanos, Virgin of Lourdes de la Flota, Sangonera la Verde, Santa Eulalia, Trapería-Platería, Triángulo, Vistalegre-Belén, FEMUAC, Cabezo of Torres and Llano de Brujas.
Among the projects developed by the groups of merchants with the collaboration of the City Council stand out the different Christmas campaigns, the Flea Market, the Outlet Fair, the Tapas Route, Valentine's Day or Carnival.
These actions are adapted to the objectives of the Strategic Trade Plan, which is currently in operation in the municipality and is structured around five fundamental axes:
- Commercial communication.
- Dynamization of commercial areas.
- Promotion of associationism and creation of networks of trust, reciprocity, solidarity and collaboration in traditional commerce.
- Training and recycling of human capital.
- Improvement of competitiveness
