The president of the Community, Fernando Lopez Miras, inaugurated yesterday the Museum of the Archconfraternity of the Blood in Murcia "that will turn the 'coloraos' into a national and international reference in the conservation of works ranging from the seventeenth century to our days, "said the head of the regional executive.
"In the Region of Murcia we have one of the richest cultural heritages in Spain and, from today, we also have this center for the protection, conservation and promotion of that cultural wealth that we have and that is going to be exhibited from the city of Murcia to the rest of Spain and the world, "said the president, who referred to the importance of the works of artists like Nicolás de Bussy, Roque López, José Sánchez Lozano, Antonio Campillo and Antonio Yuste Navarro, among others.
López Miras explained that the Autonomous Community has financed the air conditioning of the museum to guarantee the conservation and maintenance of the sculptures and remarked that "from the Government of the Region of Murcia we will continue to care for, protect, pamper and promote our customs and traditions" .
