The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, the director of the newspaper La Verdad, Alberto Aguirre, the president of Fibrofamur, Amparo Ayala, and representatives of the different sponsors and collaborators, presented this morning the race San Silvestre 2018, organized by La Verdad with the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia (FAMU) and the City of Murcia.
The race will start at La Glorieta de España on Monday, December 31, at 5:00 p.m., and between 4,000 and 5,000 runners are expected, who will cover a distance established for the 6.5 km absolute race.
The skates test can also be carried out.
"Some 3,000 people have already signed up and we hope that, like every year, the Christmas atmosphere and fun at the end of the year will be the protagonists of this popular race that is one of the most crowded on the calendar," said José Ballesta.
In addition, participants will be able to choose different prizes, with trophies for the first three classified absolute, both in men and women.
The three best individual and / or couple costumes, and three best group costumes will also receive a prize.
Registration (which can be done at the following link: http://www.alcanzatumeta.es/inscripcionp1.php?id=394757) has a cost of 11 euros and the numbers can be collected from 27, 28 and 29 December at the Forus La Flota gym and on the same day 31 in the vicinity of the start and finish line of the race, on Teniente Flomesta Avenue.
This year will be delivered a check to benefit the association Fibrofamur (Association of Fibromyalgia of Murcia) worth 2,000 euros.
