The Catholic University of Murcia continues with its firm proposal to support the esports and, therefore, has awarded Javier 'JRA-Lion' Romero, FIFA player of MAD Lions EC and six times champion of Spain, who will study the Master in Business Administration Sports Management.
As a result of the collaboration agreement signed between the University and MAD Lions EC, Javier Romero becomes the second gamer of this team granted a scholarship by the UCAM after Jesús 'Falco' Pérez.
"The UCAM provides me with everything I need to be able to continue training," commented Javier Romero, referring to the facilities provided by UCAM to combine his professional career with his studies.
In addition, he has positively valued the University's effort to contribute to the growth of esports.
"The UCAM is the first university in Spain that has supported the esports through scholarships and is taking a very important step in this sector".
For his part, Marcos Eguillor, co-founder of MAD Lions EC and responsible for marketing, commented that "the approach that the UCAM makes about esports and its integration with other sports is key for us because it allows our players to work on their profession while studying and, in this way, achieve greater challenges.
