The Campus of Los Jerónimos has welcomed the signing of the agreement between the Catholic University of Murcia and VOI, shared electric scooter company, leader in Europe.
Through this agreement, the UCAM becomes the first Spanish university to offer a sustainable mobility system through the use of electric scooters.
VOI offers a last mile transport service that respects the environment, is present in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Madrid, Zaragoza, Malaga and Lisbon and has more than 150,000 registered users.
"Our goal is to be a sustainable and affordable alternative to transport in cities", explained Paula Gallego, marketing manager of VOI in Spain.
In addition, Paula Gallego commented that "we are very happy to have signed this agreement with the UCAM because we believe that young people can lead a change of mentality towards more sustainable cities".
For his part, Pau Guardiola, responsible for the Creative Area of ​​the UCAM, has assured that "it is a pioneering agreement that demonstrates once again the bet of the University for the new technologies".
The head of the Creative Area of ​​the UCAM has also commented that, through this agreement, "the University sends a message to society that we must be at the forefront of the new movements of social and ecological awareness, and this is one more example "
Regarding its use, the University has enabled various points in which electric scooters are deposited and, through an app, can be activated and used.
