Flores Painting Competition and books reached its 8th edition and aims at this time of spring flowers is one more year, joining two artistic activities such as painting and literature, both practiced by many women in our town.
The completion of the contest is an opportunity to showcase and promote the artistic productions of the Department of Women associations, they engaged in promoting women's access to culture.
This activity begins a proposal from the Foundation of Friends of Reading, in the year 2003 in addition to the workshops to encourage reading, the AALL developed at the Centers for Women, organized by The Department of Social Welfare Policy Equality and Citizenship of the City of Murcia.
In this opening ceremony will announce the verdict of the jury and the works will be exhibited from 14 to 18 June, at a time of 17.00 to 19.00.
The jury is composed of artists, painters, writers of Murcia.
The exhibit features a total of 20 tables of eight women's centers in the township (St. Pius X, San Antolin, Patiño, Rincon de Seca, The Fleet, Barriomar, Infante and Ronda Sur).
Two prizes are awarded, the first $ 200, and the second 100, both granted by the Department of Social Welfare, Gender Equality Policies and Citizenship.
The jury will meet up to 18 hours, consists of:
Carmen Hernandez (Director of the Museum "Los Molinos del Rio / Stables), Encarnación García Alvarez (President of the Association of Friends of Reading), Raquel Cortés González (art student) and Abellán Juan Antonio Cortes (Painter).
