The City of Murcia, through the Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gomez, has awarded a grant to Cepaim for social actions aimed at tenants of the 1,009 municipally owned housing located in neighborhoods and districts.
The park of public housing of the City council is integrated by 1,009 houses, located to a large extent in the Infante District Juan Manuel;
the Holy Spirit, in Espinardo;
Los Rosales, in El Palmar;
The Ramos, Beniaján, Patiño, The Ñora, Churra, Corvera, etc.
The Cepaim-Integral Action with Migrants Foundation aims to promote an inclusive and intercultural model of society that facilitates full access to the rights of citizenship of the most vulnerable people in our society and, especially, of migrants, developing policies to fight against any form of social exclusion and collaborating in the development of the local territories and the countries of origin of the migrants.
It is the object of this agreement, endowed with 20,000 euros, is to regulate social and educational actions that are necessary to facilitate coexistence among neighbors, respect for common areas and spaces, responsibility, care and maintenance of housing and follow-up and accompaniment to cases of special need.
The aim of the Cepaim Foundation is to guarantee the level of quality of the actions to be carried out, to carry out activities related to the care and maintenance of the home and to accompany the families.
Projects of the Housing Service of the Town Hall
From the Housing Service, the municipal housing park is managed, attending, assessing and orienting the demand for housing at the municipal level.
Likewise, it carries out projects to adapt the resource to the existing real demand and within its competences, it monitors the tenants of the municipal park in order to guarantee the correct use of the resource.
In addition, it has initiated other projects that focus on the promotion of rent, youth housing, social and community actions in neighborhoods and districts, social monitoring of families and the eradication of slums, etc.
To this end, it promotes collaboration mechanisms that favor the participation of those entities implanted in the municipality of Murcia that develop actions aimed at these same sectors of the population.
