Mario Gómez: "The suspension of the service contracting procedure will delay the process of awarding the contract and leave the service in a legal limbo"
The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gomez, has called on the mayor of Murcia to abandon his political indolence and act with foresight guaranteeing the jobs assigned to the maintenance contract for parks and gardens.
In Gómez's opinion, "the suspension of the contracting procedure by the Central Administrative Court of Contractual Resources (TACRC) until it reviews and resolves the submitted claims will delay the process of awarding the contract and will leave the service in a legal limbo."
In this sense, the orange training spokesman again shows his concern at the "lack of foresight of the local government in the procedures for contract renewal and the approval of specifications that may not conform to the law and endanger the service of parks and gardens and more than 200 direct jobs. "
These days, Gómez has held a meeting with the service's company committee to show their support and to convey to them that "from Citizens we will demand compliance with the law and we will guarantee that the workers' subrogation will be carried out in full, maintaining all the agreed conditions beforehand ".
"It is incomprehensible that after warning Ballesta and his team about the possible irregularities of the award procedure, the PP remains in its position to harm Murcia," he lamented.
Thus, the Cs spokesman recalled that "the current contract ends in January 2019 and if by that date has not completed the process of selecting the winners, Ballesta will have to guarantee the service legally, as well as the existing jobs that they are obliged to subrogate by law the new contractor. "
Therefore, Gomez has asked the mayor of Murcia to "report, clearly and promptly, on the procedure to be carried out to comply with the law and maintain the service, come to the case that the current contract ends and has not finished the award process. "
