The Governing Board has approved, at the proposal of the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation, the granting of grants to nine entities in the field of disability with the aim of meeting the needs of people and promote their welfare.
The Murcia City Council and the Association ASPAYM - MURCIA, have signed a collaboration agreement for the development of their annual program of actions, which is specified in the Information Service and
Advice.
Resource Management, whose main objectives are to improve the quality of life of the group of spinal cord injured and other physically disabled people.
The amount of the subsidy is 8,000 euros.
This Service represents the first level of attention to the affected people and their families, informing them of their rights, resources, social benefits and available alternatives to certain personal situations in which they require support and guidance.
Another of the subsidies that has been granted is the Association of Parents and Protectors of Disabled Psychics, Aspapros, for the development of the Program of integration of mentally handicapped people in social life, for an amount of 8,000 euros.
Aspapros, is a social entity, non-profit, constituted
in 1964, it aims to favor the integration and socialization of people with intellectual disabilities in their social and leisure relationships.
Currently it has an occupational center in Molina de Segura where students are served between the ages of 18 and 56, affected to a greater or lesser degree by this type of disability.
This program will benefit 40 or 50 people, and cultural, sports and environmental activities will be carried out.
The City Council has also signed a collaboration agreement with the EPIT-ENIT Association, for which a grant is granted for the development of the project 'Consulting and Information Services, Physiotherapy and Psychology 2018' to give continuity to the actions
carried out in previous years with people affected by the disease
of Parkinson.
From this association, 20 people attend individually and permanently and at the community level, workshops (laugh therapy, yoga or tai chi) are organized for family and friends that will serve 40 people.
The amount of the subsidy is 3,500 euros.
The Association Auxilia Murcia will receive a grant of 10,000 euros, for the development of its annual program that includes information projects, advice, recruitment, training of volunteers, leisure, free time, family respite or workshops.
The City of Murcia and the Apramp Association have signed a collaboration agreement, for an amount of 15,000 euros, for the prevention, reintegration and care of women.
The recipients are women and girls who suffer sexual exploitation.
The objective is to recover freedom and dignity by asserting their rights and to achieve the autonomy necessary to undertake a life beyond the control and abuse of their exploiters.
The Oblate Community of the Most Holy Redeemer has also received a grant of 22,000 euros to develop pre-employment skills courses so that women with a high level of social vulnerability and who live in a situation of exclusion can join the professional market.
The Governing Board has also approved the collaboration agreement with the Cepaim Foundation to develop the project 'Center for humanitarian reception aimed at immigrants in situations of vulnerability and social exclusion', whose objective is to provide coverage for basic housing and maintenance needs.
The amount of the subsidy is 48,000 euros.
The City of Murcia signs the Collaboration Agreement with the Association for People with Down Syndrome Assido, for an amount of 8,000 euros.
With this grant the project 'Walking towards Independence' will be developed.
The Autonomy of the Person with Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability.
In this way, the personality of minors will be harmoniously developed, social behavior, communication and autonomy habits will be improved.
The actions are directed to 131 direct beneficiaries with Down Syndrome and / or intellectual disability with ages between 5 and 18 years of age, enrolled in ordinary primary and secondary education centers.
Another subsidy that has been approved goes to the Hemophilia Association, for an amount of 8,000 euros.
The projects that are going to be carried out are on psychosocial intervention, prevention and improvement of joint functionality in Hemophilia, maintenance of the headquarters and the
Realization of the XXVII Hemophilia Training Seminars for children between 8 and 12 years old, as well as the training and promotion of young volunteers.
