The Office of Entrepreneurship of the University of Murcia delivered this Wednesday, November 28, the 'UMUemprende Talent' awards to the best business ideas presented by members of the university community.
It is a contest in which students, PDI and PAS have been able to participate explaining their idea and the problem that they solve.
The contest has had 8 categories in which the jury has valued the innovation of ideas, the possibility that they can evolve into a business project and its social impact.
The winners of each category are:
• Fine arts, letters and philosophy: "Espacio Creación Artística" by Andrea Marín Escribano.
• Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Veterinary: "Agar-Agar Bottles" by Yerai Gómez Leyva.
• Computer Science and Mathematics: "Processors based on RISC-V architecture" by Alfonso Luis Castaño Marín.
• Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Optics and Optometry and Osteopathy: "Contact lenses that change color" by Ángela Bañuelos Linares.
• Law, Economy and Business and Tourism: "Algorithm of crossed optimizations (A.OP.C.)" by Juan Pablo Argente del Castillo Martínez and Lorenzo Hernando Ruiz.
• Communication and Documentation and Labor Sciences: "Social Medical Research Network" of Miguel Ángel Esteban Cánovas.
• Education, Sports Science and Social Work: "Yellow Button" by Encarnación Belmonte Cano, Mª Rosario Abril, Jose Carlos Balsalobre, Martina Sánchez and Nuria García.
• Social Entrepreneurship: "Accessible Culture in Murcia" by Marina Ramos Caro.
129 ideas were submitted to the competition and 8 prizes have been awarded to the best ideas and 2 awards in each category.
The winners will receive 350 euros and will be able to follow any of the training programs offered by the Entrepreneurship Office: Explorer, Start your TFG-TFM or Start the Flight.
The objective is that these ideas can evolve towards business projects.
The ceremony was chaired by the rector, José Lujan, who has been accompanied by Alicia Rubio, vice-chancellor of Employment Entrepreneurship and Society;
Juan Antonio Campillo, president of the Social Council;
Antonio Aragón, director of the entrepreneurship office UMUEmprende;
David Lopera, Manager of AJE, and Alvaro Armada Cañas, director of the Business Growth Area of ​​the Institute of Development.
They have also assisted deans and vice-deans of the centers of the University of Murcia, as well as the Municipal Initiatives Center of the City of Murcia and the European Center for Business and Innovation of Murcia that have participated in the juries of each of the categories of the Prizes delivered.
