The University of Murcia celebrates this Thursday, November 29, the day of San Eloy, patron of the silversmiths.
Throughout the morning there will be various acts that pretend to remember what formerly celebrated the guild.
At 10 am, in the church of La Merced, there will be an academic ceremony for the imposition of honorary positions.
Next, the procession of the offerings that will arrive to the church of San Bartolomé, where the image of San Eloy de Francisco Salzillo is located, will be organized in the Campus de la Merced.
As part of the acts and following the tradition, the rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, will be invested as Butler of Honor at 13:00.
