This asymmetric heart-shaped structure will serve to deposit thousands of plugs and with them help economically to the Association of Relatives of Children with Cancer.

On December 6, at 12 noon, will be inaugurated in the Garden of Hermitage of Burgos (Nonduermas) the Heart of Solidarity or Solidarity Point of Nonduermas, a pioneering initiative in the municipality of Murcia.

The Solidarity Heart is a structure with the profile of the hug of a mother to her son, in the shape of an asymmetric heart, in which the plastic plugs that for some time have been collected in Nonduermas for social or charitable purposes may be deposited, thanks to a totally altruistic citizen network.

The president of the Municipal Board, Carmen López Romero, said that "with this solidary point in the heart we make a visible place where any day of the year, at any time, the residents of our district can deposit the plugs."

López Romero explained that when they decided to bet on this project from the Municipal Board, they raised it to the Ermita de Burgos Athletics Club so that they could empty their hearts full of plugs to help the Association of Relatives of Children with Cancer of the Region of Murcia (Afacmur).

This association emerged in 1996, with the hard work and together of a group of affected parents, who came together to improve the quality of life of affected children and their families.

Afacmur works with a multidisciplinary team that aims to provide comprehensive care, both psychological, social, educational and leisure, to children affected by this disease, and their families, throughout the disease process.

The president of Afacmur, Francisco Palazón, has been very excited and grateful for this initiative, when the Municipal Board contacted him to communicate this initiative.

"Hopefully Nonduermas will fill many hearts of solidarity, because that will mean that we will be closer to helping more children with this disease and their families," said Carmen Lopez, who said that "from the City Council we understand that these initiatives are the things that make to our peoples, because politicians are only temporary interim. "
