The Commission for Urban Planning and the Environment today gave the green light to the final approval of obtaining the land to open a new road that gives access to San Pío X from the Carretera de El Palmar.
In the spring, the initial approval was agreed and the plenary session next week will take another step with the final one.
The objective is to broaden the conditions that Carril de la Condesa currently has, which is of double direction and, when this action is executed, it will reserve the two lanes with a single direction, favoring the exit from the neighborhood towards the highway.
At the same time, in the southern part another road will open with two lanes of entry to San Pío X.
The file includes 8 plots totaling an area of ​​2,585 square meters, of which 441 will be allocated to green areas and the rest to the new road.
The budget amounts to 593,000 euros.
The opening of the new road, from the extension of Moreras street to the El Palmar road, is foreseen in the general urban planning plan and its execution will improve the accessibility and permeability of San Pío X.
