Alfonso X Avenue welcomes from tomorrow and until Sunday the Trade Fair, Outlet 2018, the first event that is installed in the walk after its remodeling.

Organized for the first time by the Murcia Commercial Area Federation, in collaboration with the City of Murcia, this year celebrates the eleventh edition, which will last from Thursday Thursday until Sunday, the 25th. In its presentation this morning the councilors of Trade and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, and Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, together with the president of FEMUAC, Santiago Vera, and presidents of the associations of merchants participating in the fair.

A total of 75 shops from various neighborhood associations (Triángulo, Murcia Centro, Trapería-Platería, Barrio del Carmen, Santa Eulalia, Vistalegre and Carmelitanos) and districts (Monteagudo, Beniaján and Puente Tocinos) will market their products with direct discounts of up to 70%

The opening hours will be from 10am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8pm.

Expected appointment

Maruja Pelegrín stressed that 'returns to Murcia a fully consolidated event between local trade events and one of the best response and interest awakens among Murcia', which is why he hopes that 'this eleventh edition will repeat this success, if it does not surpass it, because it is an evident proof of the quality of the traditional commerce of our municipality.

For its part, Rebeca Perez explained that 'without forgetting that the main objective of this action is to help boost small business, this year has intensified the sector's commitment to sustainability, with measures such as the use of recycled paper and installation of low consumption led lights'.

Reusable bags

In this regard, he stressed that the City Council, through Ferrovial Services, concessionaire of waste collection and treatment service, will collaborate with the fair with the provision of selective collection containers in the environment and the distribution of reusable and made shopping bags. with recycled material, in which messages from the campaign "You choose how you want to be seen" are disseminated, within the well-known initiative #NSM, to raise awareness among citizens about the need to contribute to the care of the city and the environment.

Unparalleled framework

"We have made a great effort to promote the Fair, says the president of FEMUAC, Santiago Vera, and thus develop one of the events with greater acceptance by Murcia."

Vera has thanked the collaboration of the City of Murcia and has described the outcome of the works in Alfonso X as "an incomparable framework for our commercial offer reaches Murcia during some dates especially outstanding for all."

Among the novelties of this year it is worth mentioning that children's activities have been organized in Basabé Street on Saturday, morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning.

In addition, they return the direct prizes to the fair.

A thousand euros will be distributed among those who buy in any of the 75 installed booths, with direct rewards of € 10 to continue buying.

In this tenth edition there will be presence of the main sectors of commerce, with 9 establishments of men's fashion, 20 children's, 26 of women, 2 of optics, 4 of jewelery, 7 of home and 4 of footwear.
