The Governing Council of the University of Murcia has approved in its session this Friday to request the ANECA the approval of the study plans of four new master's degrees, with the intention of starting to teach them in the 2019/2020 academic year.
These are the Master's degrees in Digital and Analytical Marketing, Master's in Science in Physics, Master's Degree in Applied Optometry and Master's Degree in Legal and Forensic Psychology.
In addition, the highest governing body of the University has given the green light to the creation of two new chairs: the Chair of Health Communication, which will feature the participation of Asisa;
and the Chair of Tourism.
Both will have the purpose of research, training and dissemination of their area of ​​knowledge.
Another of the approved issues has been to request the Gold Medal of the Region of Murcia for the School of Medicine as recognition, coinciding with the celebration of its 50th Anniversary.
During the Governing Council, the rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, gave an account of the results obtained during the trip that a UMU delegation made to China earlier this month.
In this regard, he explained that three agreements have been signed with Chinese universities and there are four other agreements in the process of signing.
Among the rest of the issues discussed, the approval of 128 educational collaboration agreements for students of the UMU to do internships in companies, as well as six agreements for the development of training framed in the University's own studies.
The call for the Knowledge Transfer Prizes at the University of Murcia has also been authorized.
