The Department of Finance, Recruitment and Urban Mobility, directed by Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, has a reserve of 50,000 euros for the implementation of accessible public transport and quality.
The municipality of Murcia, which already has one of the largest fleet of adapted taxi licenses, with 42 vehicles, will continue to consolidate in this position with the measure approved today by the Governing Board.
Specifically, this is the call for subsidies for the acquisition or transformation of a self-taxi vehicle adapted to people with disabilities, and it is aimed at licensees of this type of vehicle, trying to reach the highest possible levels of efficiency and effectiveness in the allocation and use of public resources.
In this way, the Department that directs Martínez-Oliva aims to implement public transport services increasingly accessible, as this increases the autonomy of people with reduced mobility and enables a more efficient and useful transport at the same time which guarantees universality, accessibility and quality in the provision of this service.
The granting of these grants to license holders of taxis that have been adapted or acquired between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018, in order to co-finance the higher costs than the acquisition or transformation of this type of vehicle they assume in relation to conventional taxis.
The maximum amount to be received will be 6,000 euros for the acquisition or 4,500 euros for the transformation of adapted taxi vehicle.
The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 calendar days from the day following publication in the official journal from the National Subsidies Data Base.
The aid will be granted respecting the strict order of date of the application and until the exhaustion of the available credit, provided that the requirements established in these bases are met.
