The spokesman of the municipal group of Cambiemos Murcia, Nacho Tornel, said today that he hopes that the consolidation of municipal responsibility in the Ramón Gaya Museum will be accompanied by more human and material resources that serve for the projection of this cultural asset in the region as outside its borders.
For Tornel, with the renewal of private employers, which has had the support of all municipal groups, a "new cycle" begins within the Board and conflicts related to the working conditions of the workforce are left behind.
"We have been able to overcome the crisis that, by the way, never affected the activity of the museum thanks to the professionalism of the staff," he added.
The mayor has recognized the work of the previous employers, founders of the Ramón Gaya under the mayor of José Méndez, while highlighting the "extensive curriculum" of the new in the world of cultural industries and the Murcian culture sector in general.
He also expressed his desire that the projection of the museum and the figure of Gaya "suppose an enrichment for the cultural life of the municipality and serve as a platform for local creators, who should continue to see in the museum a meeting place".
